I know this one. (It took me a while to figure out) You miscalculated. That seems logical, but the room only cost them $25. That means two paid 8 and one paid 9. The hop stole two dollars, bringing the total up to $27 and the cost an even 9. Then they got paid three bucks, leveling it out at 10 per person and $30 total.
