Actually if you need to get a hold of someone, then use their email if it's available.
Creating a new topic solely dedicated to talking to another user about something that has no relevance to another user, is not proper use of the forums.
It'd be like me going 'Hey Denvish, what's your opinion on soap?' and then when anyone else tries to contribute to the topic, yelling at them for giving me their opinion, and pissing and moaning about how I only asked for Denvish's question.
In closing, if the subject is something the BBS community can engage in, then it is forum material. If it is limited to only a few members (barring the fecal pit known as C & C), then don't bother posting it, as it is spam. You should go about and write an email to those members.
And just because you frequent a forum does not make you automatically right, that's utter bullshit, though I doubt you are serious about that opinion as only introverted ninny would truly to hold grasp on that piece of logic.
