If you're living in Australia, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne is having an Independent Games Showcase featuring Alien Hominid and Gish!
For all the people who are clueless about NG history... Alien Hominid is a game that was originally made by Dan Paladin and I and submitted to NG - you can play it here! We partnered with some friends to form a company called "the Behemoth" and proceeded to make a console version for the PS2 and Gamecube in the US, as well as PS2 and XBOX in Europe! There's also a GBA version coming out!
Gish is a totally hot PC game that was dreamed up by Edmund McMillen, known for his morbidly genius Newgrounds submissions such as Carious Weltling. You can check out Gish and buy it on-line!
Both games are on display and playable at the ACMI from now through December 11th. Other great independent games are there as well, go check 'em out!
In related news... We've slashed prices at the Alien Hominid on-line store! For a mere $39.99, you can now own both AH for the PS2 or Gamecube AND a box of AH figurines! These are massive savings, so buy now while we're still selling this stuff! You can also buy AH alone for $19.99 - you can almost eBay it for that much! The figurines are now $25.99 by themselves.
Go to AlienHominid.com and have a look!
We have also re-launched the Behemoth website with a new look that is more accomodating for updates. The old site was just Flash and didn't provide much info. If you check it out, you can see updates from IGN Live 2005 as well as stories from the San Diego office!
Speaking of games... We're still hard at work with our next console game! It has been rough lately with getting the office set up and all, but everything is moving along. More on that in the near future!
