9 - Final Fantasy 7

The highest ranking RPG in the list and probably the obvious choice for that title

8 - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Everyone was too busy playing with the hot coffee mod and flaming Jack Thompson to get it any higher

7 - Half-Life 2

Gordon Freeman never wins. Except seventh place here.

6 - Super Mario 64

Platformers didn't really translate to 3D well. Except this one. Ah well, it can be done in 20 minutes nowadays.

5 - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Dodgy shirts are obviously a winner.

4 - Halo 2

Killing Wade is obviously so much fun.

3 - Super Smash Brothers Melee

But not as much fun as killing Kirby.

2 - Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Clearly a good result for the N64, as it owns everything, including the winner, which came as somewhat of a surprise considering how much the board wanks over the other shooters in the top 10:

1 - Goldeneye

Yes, according to the average Newgrounds fan, all your current FPS's suck compared to the N64 classic.

Hmm, only played the original one. Didn't see any other Silent Hill game on the list. :S I thought 1 or 3 would be on the list.

Ah, the good Pokemon games. I guess a lot of people liked the original Pokemon games.

I think it's alright. There were things on that game I didn't like.

44 Metal Gear Solid 2

I've been playing on it recently and I'd say it deserves to have that spot on the top 100.

I've played both of them. Although Sonic the Hegehog is the original Sonic game, I preferred Sonic 2.

39 Resident Evil

I've played that on the Gamecube. I enjoyed playing on it.

Meh, I only liked the challenges on that game.

29 World of Warcraft

My sister has that game and she has said to me about a lot of things on that game.

27 Super Mario Bros

I've got it, although I really suck at that game.

26 Final Fantasy 8

Meh, not a FF I like much.

I really need to get that game. I don't have a SNES. :( Gotta wait for the Revolution, I guess.

It's my favourite FF game for a good reason. Deserves a good spot.

I would of thought Smash Brothers Melee would be 1st but Goldeneye was THE shooter for the N64. I also noticed that the top 3 games are Nintendo games, being a fanboy I'll like to say YAY.

Bah! I should have posted in that topic. I thought I'd do it later. But apparently, you weren't as slow as Dobio, when he was organizing those BBS awards.

Oh well. It's not like it would have made much difference. My favourites (Final Fantasy games, Counter-Strike (Half-Life) and Warcraft III) were all pretty high on that list. Though I was also going to mention Suikoden I and II, which aren't on the list. But it's not exactly some voting results, but just a general survey, I suppose.

Users on both IGN and Gamespy have voted Half Life 2 better than Halo 2 and Half Life 1 better than Halo: Combat Evolved(original), except on gamespot they have the same score. 50,000 people can't be wrong.

If you don't believe me:
CHECK "COMMUNITY LOWDOWN" The initial score is by approx 15 administrators, so check what the 20,000 people who have it say:

Meh. Video game arguments are always lame, and always based on opinion rather than facts.

At least I did see a lot of good games on this list that I thought might have been overlooked. Hopefully this at least partially curbs the lame versions of this thread.
