goto File > Publish Settings... a window pops up. see the Audio Stream and Audio Event buttons near the bottom. click em, one after the other. for the boxes that popup, i think you should set the 16 bit lower (to 8 bit) and make sure that drop down list under the 16 bit thing is set to Fast... i think that's how you compress your audio files
nope that didnt work it is the same it didnt compress anything

it should... but to tell you the truth, it didn't really work for me either. i think i might have noticed a difference of only a few kb, but that's it. it might have even gotten bigger, actually.
I know there is a way to do it but i dont know how i will search around i guess then put it in here for future reference

you can always download some sound editing tool such as cool edit pro, and then just resave the sound file as something really low rez.

Flash automatically compresses .wav files, so change it to that, theres also probably about 30 threads like this one, So use the search function first to see if you can find the answer, quicker and easier.
