For in-browser Flash, today’s Ruffle update introduces a new system for Shared Objects (save data), which should be backwards compatible with the old system, so your save data isn’t lost. @Stanpai is organizing an on-line NG Fest!
The Art Inspired Music Contest is in progress, with a June 21st deadline.
May 1st was Pico Day, an annual celebration of NG! Winners are still being selected and I made a Pico Day follow-up post last week.
Similarly, winners are still being chosen for the Friday Night Funkin’ Animation Jam.
The success of FNF has sort of bottlenecked everything possible; between hosting infrastructure, site code optimizations, new user sign-ups (more customer service) and larger contest turnouts, resulting in more to judge. It’s all been really exciting but also a lot of work, so thanks for bearing with us on stuff.
Pico and Tankmen are extremely popular right now but I encourage you to check out all the other cool stuff on the front page as well. Who knows how many of these people will be running their own shows some day, making top selling games or hit songs; you can say you knew them way back when!
There’s also way too much great stuff that isn’t getting a chance on the front page due to sheer volume. I recommend browsing the various options in the hubs, for example the top scoring animation this week.
Ah yes, Mr fulp. If it wasn't for you i probably wouldn't of made it through high school with your infamous tank man series.
Oh and cock jokes. really sad to see that flash died last year and well, thanks for getting me through some dark times man.

Ah right. Yeah that'd still be a downside, though with more sales maybe everything would get more lucrative too. :) Lower retail prices both on shop items and shipping, everything goes down in bulk...

Can possibly negotiate lower shipping costs with your carrier of choice too if you send out enough orders though. Currently working with retail myself, and at least over here it doesn't take all that much to get special privileges.
Payment processing costs can go lower too with larger volumes. The more you sell the cheaper it gets in all areas. Unfortunately for most. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The bigger your business the more you can maximize your revenue; keep expanding, but with a viral event like this maybe it's actually possible to jump right into one of those higher tiers right away, and with merch I guess the business model is not really your average business model either, no direct competition at all this way...

I'm just guessing here, but considering how Pico Day winners are still being selected and Friday Night Funkin’ Animation Jam ones too it'll probably be a while. Participation was way bigger than usual. FNF seems to have a separate panel though.
