That black border is because the thumbnail is smaller than the embedded SWF, I think? I made a larger thumbnail for that one and uploaded it now:

Been chipping away at RicePirate, which also chips away at other people because RP voiced in a lot of stuff. Doing some Ockeroid too and converting some movies to video format along the way.

Yeah I did the scene in that second thumbnail. I've updated the thumbnail and added a bunch of people to the credits!
I'm going to tackle new HD thumbnails for @W-P-S, notably his best-known movies Anusboy and its sequel.
They already have low-resolution thumbnails, and they look custom-made. I'd like to approach this by recreating the thumbnails by photoshopping in a higher quality version of the images found in the title screens, then adding the text back in.
But then there's the question. Do I retain the pixelation of the low quality typography or do I trace over it to retain higher quality? Or do I use AI upscaling?

Hmmm good question, the original typography does appear to not be anti-aliased. @W-P-S do you by any chance have hi-res versions of any of these title cards? Any preference for how you'd want the titles rendered?

This typography is also present in at least six other WPS movies circa 2007-2010, not just Anusboy. I think it was done with the low resolution thumbnail size in mind.
On an additional note, something similar was done for the thumbnail in his 2015 demo reel, only aliased at a higher resolution.
