this one is sooo good

You just need some more "fundamentals" but the felling of the drawing is very solid

Sir, your order's here. No, that's not what I'm gonna call it but the pose itself gives off that feeling, huh?

Concept wise, I like where it's going. Gonna need to refine the sketch a bit.

This might be my only art forum post for this week. Currently working on a few pieces, one of them should be done by next week from the looks of it. In the meantime, a little work in progress couldn't hurt, right?

Lotsa cool sketches here! If I may ask for the sake of curiosity and potential advice, how does the process of your artwork typically go from concept to final? What kinds of tools do you use?

My process is usually go through a rough sketch in pencil (sometimes pen if I feel ok about it) and depending on the concept of the piece decide whether to draw it digitally or traditionally. From there I do a little more refining of the sketch to the point where I feel it's good enough. After that it's flats, shading and a few details here and there(dependent on the concept itself).

And as to the tools I use, it's Photoshop, Lightroom when it comes to digital art and for traditional it usually whatever medium I can get my hands on ranging from pencils and pens to watercolor and acrylic. Other than that, that's mostly my process. I hope I was able to answer your questions the best that I can. Also, thank you for asking.

Thanks for your response! That's sorta similar to what I do, I guess. I'll sketch something in pencil, take a photo, then go onto my computer with GIMP 2.6 (never updated because of the UI change in later versions that throw me off), then there I outline, color, and also add shading and details. I'd love to try more traditional stuff again, but unfortunately I'm too tight on money right now to go shopping and experiment with art tools. :(

Someday I might try another art program too because GIMP has issues of it's own, but I'm not even sure which ones to look at (I'll either have to buy them or use some crappy free version loaded with ads).

No problem! Glad to help! Okay yeah your process is just about the same as mine. Also, I do hope you're able to try some traditional art soon. It's pretty cool finding what tools you are good with and even find tools you may be uncomfortable with trying and then later it becomes one of your favorites.

Gonna have a new drawing posted in a few. The paper I used is the same size as the max for my scanner but I'm getting a bit of a blur on the edge of it so I'm gonna go with an alternative.
