How do you find out about new music (if you do ever find out about it or listen to it on purpose)?
I listen to opening bands at concerts I go to before the concert prior to the concert, I listen to music on Spotify and then see what it recommends on my "Mix," or I listen to playlists by my favorite artists on Spotify or by genre playlists I'm interested in. I also went through a few pages of that massive thread on here of what everyone was listening to awhile back
I find music just by looking deep in the web or from friends. How do you think I found teamsesh or G*59?

People are going to roll their eyes at me, but I mostly discover everything from a combination of Pitchfork, /mu/ and The Needle Drop. They're all super typical and often mocked, but I don't care since I've found majority of the music that I like through them.
I also use similar artists options on youtube, napster, whatever I am using.
Generally, whatever is trending is not the music I care for.
I find a lot of artists on social media too.

Usually what I hear in the store, restaurant, TV show, movie or special event.
A few years ago I used to watch the video countdown, but all the "tweet me this" shit in between the songs has turned me off.
