Flash Decompilers 2017-07-21 16:37:24

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I was active on NG. I've been looking at some of the games I released years ago and it seems like a lot of them are breaking when played with newer versions of Flash Player. Is this a common problem with older games? It would not surprise me if the player wasn't fully backwards compatible.

Anyway, I'd love to re-release my old stuff but I've no longer got access to most of the .fla files for them.
Are there any decent .swf decompilers out there? Specifically ones that work on AS3 games from around the Flash CS3 era. I remember this being a thing a lot of years ago but I never had any direct experience.

Thanks!

Every flash player should be backwards compatible with every previous release. AS2 still works fine in my experience, so it's strange that AS3 wouldn't work.

I've used JPEXS once before, but only for looking at source code and not assets. It's free, so you might as well.

Good luck and welcome back!
