Does anyone on newgrounds use a real bass in their tracks? Most of us here are composers, you can't expect anyone to do everything live :)
I also name tracks worthlessly until I'm certain it will become a finished project. I usually include the date in the title so at the very least I know how old it is Example[2-1-17]

I have no plans when I create a song, its usually just a case of pressing a few keys and playing the song in my head as I go along....

lol, I feel the same way. I envy people that can think of a melody and write it down later that day. All my songs start out as ten second loops that are just random noises and spur of the moment melodies that eventually get sculpted down into something musical sounding. Then I copy/paste it a bunch of times and start deleting sections. At that point, the creative process is essentially the same as working a block of clay.

More of a confession: I create tracks and listen to them like some weird narcissist, but get really shy or embarrassed when someone approaches me/compliments me in person.

We all do man. I have an entire itunes playlist dedicated to my own music but when sharing with others the first thing I tell people is that my music is shit. I bet this is one of the most common confessions we could have ran into if I had asked about it in the OP.

Playback is an important part of the creative process. There would be no point to it if we didn't love it :D

True. At the end of it all, we really just want to write for ourselves and what we would want to listen to.

I don't have one yet. But maybe was in the past, like adding high frequencies to any lead. Now the thing is: I would like to put even more to a track, but then it would take away too much time.

same with barre chords but what is absolutely necessary is stuff you can do if you're an intermediate musician. :P

when you barre a chord with a finger, if you don't know that then don't worry at all about what you can and just work at being the best you can be with what you can already do while expanding horizons that fit and go outside of your taste in order to grow into your own musical voice. :)

- I have a bad habit of not finishing projects. I only finish and release about 2 out of every 30 I make.

- My templates load an unnecessary amount of plugins and instruments I never use.

- My patterns are disorganized and have terrible naming conventions.

- I've been using FL Studio for 13 years and still haven't bothered to learn all of its features.

I do use automation, but only until I get lazy from working too long. Guess that's another habit to add.
