I am curious. Why in most movies, TV shows and video games are the female victims(hostages, captives, etc) barefoot? I know it's a trivial thing to talk about, but I just wonder.

I guess a princess rarely ever has to venture outside for extended periods of time.
Also, several male heroes don't wear shoes either.

Maybe in the larger picture she is naked (except for a piece of cloth or two) and chained up to be sacrificed by some giant monster.

that is a great question sirleibl, unfortunately i cannot reciprocate your query with a great response. In fact, I don't really wonder, or care about the motivation behind barefoot damsels in distress. But my f*cked homunculus has some overlapping neural connectivity (dubious theory IMO, as foot fetish is widely disproportionate amongst genders) resulting in certain appendageal vaso- dilation and constriction at the mention of barefeet. Hence why I entered this thread and made this gay post
