NG API Use

I was wondering if I use the NG API can I upload my game to another website and the API will still work or does the API only work if the game is being played at newgrounds?

It works everywhere! You obviously can't unlock medals from the game to your NG account if you do it from a different site, but the medals will unlock locally.
