what file do you save your arts?

kinda new here so not sure if it has been asked already but im wondering whats the preferable type of file should i save my art to? and also wondering would PNG files be fine for flash games or animations?

Not sure about animations or games. But for art PNGs are high quality but are larger files than JPGs. You might also want to look into the dpi of your art. 72 is recommended for web, but I've found that can sometimes make you art grainy and pixelated if it is a large piece. So to be on the safe side i usually go 300 dpi which is best for printing but i do it just to make sure everything is as high quality and as sharp as possible, even if i never print it.
