A reverse image search does not seem to indicate anything suspicious. I would have no reason to think it was not an original work. They probably did use a reference, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that! It still takes an incredible amount of talent. Here is a still I found that closely resembles the work.

Because it's amazing how people like her can recreate the likeness of man so well through colored paints on a canvas.
Or digital colored paints on a digital canvas.
