Sex sells, my friend. Is it annoying to have sex scenes shoehorned into shows and movies? In my opinion, yeah. But it gets viewers and ratings, so I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

What you wrote dont make any sense? Are you saying science explains the whys or the hows?
Because so far you cant ask "What purpose are we here for?". Science only explains our physical world as we know it. Not our philosophical reason for existing. Which is what science can and never will answer. It only knows hows, not the whys.
Besides science existed in ancient times, so its nothing new in general. Science is a tool we human use, religion can also be called a tool "But i wont really label it that" but basically what it means is it has the answers of why we exist for what purpose. Which is why it exists more or less.

I find this honestly depressing that there are still people out there that are still bitching about sex on TV, movies and what have you. I'm well aware of the fact that sex sells and the over glamorization of boobies and coitus in popular media, (I'm not including porn) but this is hardly the worst thing in the world, and a lot of the criticism comes from either the Puritanical mindset that was long discredited in the '60's if not earlier, or by the overzealous feminist types who object to sexual excitement because reasons.
