People will click away from a video if they are locked in quick enough.

I think your intro is perfect for the length of the episode, it's like exactly 5 seconds.
I think sometimes people have a tendency (I'm totally guilty of this too!) of having intros that run way too long for short videos. Unless it's like a 30 minute episode or something, nobody should have an intro over 30 seconds long.

Thanks, I appreciate your answer, however based on my YouTube analytics, the retention in my videos declines in the first 1-2 seconds which I assume is because of the intro, so I'll test it out without an intro and see how things go, thanks!
