I've played most of these only recently, but even though they are quite dated I still found them very enjoyable. System Shock 2 probably stood out to me the most. The graphics are complete garbage (imagine early N64, but worse), but the game has such a great horror atmosphere.

Check out the Tales series. It's one of the top JRPG franchises and my personal all time favorite series. It started out on consoles but it's just started releasing games on PC starting with Zestiria and also the amazing Tales of Symphonia.
