I still have to watch Interstellar...
and some others from around that time.
Also an old coworker was always telling me to watch Lost Boys. Suppose I should really do that too..

How have you not seen the original Ghostbusters?
There are a lot of movies I want to/should see but just can't ever seem to get around to. Deadpool is the only recent one that comes to mind, but I also want to get into some Hitchcock films, The Usual Suspects, The Crazies, Event Horizon, A Beautiful Mind, The Sixth Sense, Grave of the Fireflies, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek series, The Big Short, and probably a bunch more.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

I've already seen the new Star Wars and Deadpool.
So the next movies I really want to see are Batman VS Superman, Star Trek Beyond, Independence Day: Resurgence, and X-Men: Apocalypse.
And I suppose there's that new Terminator movie, as well a all the Marvel movies I haven't yet seen.
A truly prophetic sig...

I haven't seen it either.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits.

I'm not really into movies and I've probably only seen 30-40 movies so far. I didn't even watch Star Wars until I was 17

It's a great movie.
Movies I couldn't watch so far: Deadpool, Batman v Superman, X-Men First Class, Days of Future Past
I'm movie'd out for a hot minute. My IMDb ratings hit 1,002 this month. I'm taking a break. My watch list has a few movies on it still though, including:
Misery
Sausage Party
Office Space
A Clockwork Orange
The Revenant
Ratchet & Clank
The Room
The War of the Roses
Requiem for a Dream
Ellen Foster
Suicide Squad
Dirty Harry

As far as anything coming out soon in theatres? Nah not really. I still want to see Hardcore Henry, but I'm not sure when it's coming out on DVD.
Hardcore Henry looks really cool, I should see that once I get the time and money.

It can be any movie from any genre.
Hm. I've already seen Civil War, so maybe Doctor Strange? I'm not really keen on Age of Apocalypse either

Super hype for:
Certain Women - Kelly Reichardt is the best director working today and can do no wrong in my eyes. Her last two films, Meek's Cutoff and Night Moves were both superb, and can't wait to see what she does next.
The Bad Batch - Ana Lily Amipour knocked it out of the park with A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, her incredible debut back in 2014. She's making the move from Iranian Skateboarding Vampire Spaghetti Western to Post Apocalyptic Texan Cannibal Romantic Horror, and has big names in the form of Keanu Reeves and Jim Carey on board this time. If it captures half of the insane magic of her last film it'll be a hell of a picture.
Patterson - The first of two Jim Jarmusch films out this year. Not heard a huge amount about it, but I'll see anything Jarmusch makes.
Gimme Danger- Jarmusch's other film, a documentary on the Stooges. Never seen any documentary work from him before, so curious how it turns out.
I, Daniel Blake - I have to say, I've always preferred Ken Loach's television work to his feature films. I'll take Days of Hope over Kes any day. That said, this one has a lot of buzz around it, and it's a return to the social realism where he made his name and which produced his best work. Set locally to me too, which doesn't hurt.
Free Fire - Ben Wheatley has never lived up to the incredibly high standards he set with Kill List back in 2011. Sightseers, A Field in England and High-Rise were all very good, but not quite on the same level as Kill List. However, this is the first film he's written as well as directed since Kill List itself, so I'm very excited to see if some of that film's magic was down to his writing as well as his direction.
Cemetery of Splendour - A follow up to Apichatpong Weerasethakul's beautifully mental Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, this sounds like it'll evoke a lot of the same otherworldly craziness of that picture.
Pretty hype for/will watch once I get the chance:
Green Room, Evolution, Mustang, Arabian Nights Parts 2 and 3, Embrace of the Serpent.
Fight Club
American Psycho
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Doctor Strange
Mad Max: Fury Road
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
The Blair Witch Project
Borat
And many more I can't think of right now.

i still gotta watch the matrix
i also need to watch akira

There's a different Jungle Book movie that's coming out and it's by a different company.
I just checked and the release date got pushed to October 2018.

That's cool that they're finally making a Jungle Book film actually based off the original book. The only other version that I can think of that's based off the book is the Chuck Jones version.

Kinda lame tbh. That seems redundant.
It's why I don't go to the movies often tbh.
I saw the 2016 Jungle Book and CA: Civil War this year though.
Jungle Book was visually stunning and I appreciated the political thriller aspect to Civil War, Marvel's done a decent job at keeping things interesting

I want to see The Jungle Book, mostly because of Bill Murray and Christopher Walken.

One thing that they've done with the 2016 Jungle Book movie is that they change King Louie from and orangutan to a gigantopithecus, since unlike orangutans gigantopithecus were once native to India.
One thing that I hate is that Kaa only appeared in one scene, which is in contrast with the book. Kaa better get more screentime in the 2018 movie...

Every character in the movie is fucking humongous compared to Mowgli. Also Kaa was female for some reason, there's nothing wrong with that, but that's a little odd how they just completely changed the gender like that.

The funny thing is that King Louie is larger than a normal gigantopithecus!

Jon Favreau explains why Kaa is female:

It's worth noting that in real life, female snakes tend to be both bigger and deadlier than the male ones.

I don't think he mentioned that though.
