OpenTOonz 1.0.2 released! 2016-04-27 15:38:18

The newest release fixes MANY issues, and includes a room editor to customize your own custom rooms (work spaces).

And a Save All option, which simplifies the workflow considerably!

Grab it here: https://github.com/opentoonz/opentoonz/releases

Many tutorials available now:

Other improvements:
- mesh deformations work again
- keyframe display restored in the Xsheet (meaning: we are able to see keys for position, rotation, etc.)
- Mac version is now usable
- node output in the schematic view allows for multiple outputs again (important for cut-out characters and mesh deformed boned drawings).
- no more multi-screen crashes on Windows

Just a quick update. In the latest builds many more bugs were squashed, and a number of VERY important regressions (compared to Harlequin) are now restored:

- Xsubsheets can now be edited and animated in place/context. Compare this to Flash graphic symbols: a character can be converted to a 'symbol' (in OpenTOonz this would be called an 'Xsubsheet'), and in the previous versions these characters could not be animated within the context of the main scene. This makes it very hard to synchronize two or more subsheet animations in a scene. This is now resolved.

- Full onion skinning for the main timeline (Xsheet) is restored. Previously, onion skinning was only available in the level strips (the animated content parts). The onion skin tools in OT are excellent, and very simple to control. It is even possible to select specific frames which have to be included or excluded in the onion skinning view. Controlling the ranges is super simple as well.

- other bugs related to mesh bone deformations were fixed. The Mac version is becoming much more stable.

- in the upcoming build (should take a day or two) the global key option will be restored as well.

All in all, OpenTOonz is now truly usable for paperless animation. Very powerful animation app.

If I have the previous version, how do I update it? Do I have to uninstall and then re-install?

...Are you an OpenToonz developer or something? It seems you just didn't introduce yourself.

That's amazing news!
I thought it would be months before there were any significant updates.

Thanks again for the update, but I'm wondering the same as VLanimate, do I have to uninstall the previous build before installing the latest one?

In the attached image, is that the latest version for Windows atm?

Ok so I just uninstalled the old version and installed the new one without deleting any of the folders created by the previous version. Seems like it works. It didn't erase any of my UI and hotkey settings.
