I am a musician, I make good music and I am good at it, I recommend people the following: use Fruity Loops, its expensive but you won't regret it, the results are outstanding.

Reporting from the Newground's News, Tacticat will ''blow'' your mind.
I usually use a triangle to compose music, but sometimes I simply compose with my mouth. Beatboxing.

Interesting ways to compose music, but you are illuminati confirmed.
Nope, I'm the prophet of the great Sorbet Oasis PĂȘche Pomme Cassis !
Being serious, I use GarageBand... Okay, I know this is a bad software but well... I'm a beginner ! :3
And I in fact personally like GarageBand ! Even though I feel I'm reaching the limit of the software !
I've been saving money for a while now and I can buy FL Studio Producer Edition (the one I want), but I'm just waiting FL Studio to be available on Mac ! :3
3.5.6 is the best version of fruityloops, 10.x.x is the best version of fl studio
fite me irl if u disagree i'll rek u
I'd fight you. But I actually use FLS 10. I use the patterns for organization and refuse to upgrade. ha!

Thats one reason to the question ''Why did I create this forum topic?''

I also didn't upgrade for this reason.
Yeah. People have suggested that I just use the Browser for organization, and I do. It helps see multiple patterns at once. However, deleting loads of them in a single selection is impossible.
Also, there is no shortcut to shunt the Pattern down and up. I'm very organized and for someone like me, taking away this organization is detrimental to production flow.
There's also the issue with FLStudio's UI getting huge. Why...is beyond me considering that not everyone's made the cross to 4K screens yet. Huge space between the instruments is just beyond ridiculous. There's no need for it.
I dumped botoxed FL12 for Ableton, it's aging slighlty better instead of improving backwards.
Its like using 3.56 again with the added comfort of dragand dropping pattern blocks/clips/projects/racks. It has that vibe that i enjoyed in FruityLoops!
After Sytrus, Harmor, and Maximus, it feels like image line ran out of ideas.
"psst, hey! Add sidechaining to all plugins and m/s mode to EQ, instead of laggy patcher... Oh you will do ugly hd facebook tablet reskin instead with clunky unreadable interface and huge useless animated buttons? Oh?! Ok... Have fun, bye!"
And as they like to advertise it: No flstudio time was wasted^^
| None was used since 2011.
The designer probably resigned afterwards, shamed to have been forced to put up with dumb trends...
MAKE ZE BUTTEUNZ BIGGAH AND CHEWING GUM AND NO CONTWAST FOR NO REASON.
FL10 ftw and maybe 11 for ok gui and pretty good x64 compatibility.
I'll have to check out the pattern reorganization you were talking about @Chemich. However, I probably still wont change
The UI is scalable. But only up from 100. What they need to do is drop it down. The step sequencer is pretty useless in comparison to the piano roll and really, I just use it to select the instruments. My point is even at 100% it's a complete waste of space. There's many reasons why you would want it small, and I have two 24inch screens currently. Right now I have groups that I jump back and from, however, it wouldnt be needed if FL got their act together. So I disagree that it's the producers fault.
Their time signature issues also have a huge problem. Not being able to change tempo without it destroying video timings, or change signature. Personal preference is one thing, but when you're talking about 2016 and people have been scoring to picture for decades and this feature is still neglected when image and audio sync is such a huge thing today. These features aren't producer dependent, they are tools that should be supplied, because there is no work around.
Dont get me wrong, there's a lot of good things about it, but it's certainly nowhere near the standard expected within modern DAWs.
I use XTREME MUSIC MAKER 192.00.2.44 FINAL. For HEAVY TECHNO I use HEAVY MUSIC MAKER 666.33.

To be honest, I enjoy the layout of FL Studio 10 rather than 12. That's my opinion though
