I'm trying to broaden my creative horizons and was looking for feedback and pointers on what I need to do to improve. I'm new to drawing, so I know it's not super great. Thanks in advance.

Study composition analysis like this and try to do analysis on other artworks that you like. Use it to analyze your own compositions and plan things out before committing.
For your cartoon style head, the line quality looks a little shaky. Practice making smooth lines. I find that lifting weights or practicing dexterous tasks also helps the same muscles used for drawing. It's common to make a pencil line first and adjust it until it's perfect, then draw over it with ink, so you know where the line is supposed to be and can focus exclusively on making it smooth and attractive. Don't think with ink.
@AcetheSuperVillian Thank you very much. I'll check out the links and get started :)
