I keep seeing this ad and it leads to installing an adware extension/software. It's also generally shady in promoting free minecraft.

A lot of the new ads seem really obtrusive and shady. "Support" is the only response I've seen about it, but I'm not really inclined to support someone who willingly engages in things like this.

If we identify any rogue units, we get them removed. Examples of these are extremely rare and are difficult to pinpoint, as they're often removed before anyone gets around to reporting them.

On certain fronts, yes. But I've seen topics on the massive site-obscuring banner ads get locked down with staff simply telling people to support or stop talking about it.
