The mistake would of been much more glaring if you posted "Merry Christmas, United States" or "Happy Easter, United States"

Besides, it's probably a common mistake to confuse Memorial Day with Labor Day.

My workplace recently got on some "work share" program, so I'm getting paid 66% of my wages to sit on my ass despite being scheduled off anyway. I'm sure it doesn't interact with time and a half from it being a holiday, but I can't complain about free money.
