I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the neighborhood parents are a bit miffed at that sign.

Actually it makes sense and I don't think it's meant to be a joke.
The implication is perhaps an autistic child may not be as aware of danger in their surroundings as another child their age. So perhaps they might just wander into the street without even thinking about it, or something like that.
Basically like a "deer crossing" sign or such, but for autistic kids.

So like the kid from that movie with Bruce Willis and NOT the neck bearded basement dweller?

Something like that, yeah.
It's a politically correction version of the "CautionSlow Children" sign.
This is a song about death. It's on mandolin.

Yeah I figured it was something like that. Just funny because of how often that words gets carelessly thrown around here.

Uhh, what were you doing in Ruckersville, VA?
(yes, yet another shitty Chris-chan joke...)
Better proceed with caution, bro. Autistic children are known for their superhuman strength.

@Amaranthus, are you just gonna take that, bro?
And then you parked your car and ran to your basement...

How dare you laugh! That sign is obviously there for a reason because an autistic child has no sense of danger and might carelessly wander in front of oncoming traffic! It would be horrible if that child was in a car accident!
nah im fucking with you, thats hilarious
"Aggressive, don't make eye contact"
No, on a serious note, fucking why?
Did the parents want to pat themselves on the back for not putting him for adoption like some scumbags do?
Are the raising a flag for their developmentally challenged child to get picked on?
Or is this serious warning as stated about?
People are fucking idiots.
I can see that they're trying to warn drivers like they would in a deaf child area, these children are more likely to perhaps wander into the street and put themselves in danger, but I feel an "autistic child" sign is going to cause shit for the kid.
The Newgrounds Revolution isn't a thing, quit being a pussy.
Aha lads this isn't a joke!
Trust me, these signs can be requested to be put up at the ends of a street where a disabled person lives.
It's kinda like a school zone in a sense aye, just be careful!

Gross.
Somehow, this seems to remind me of a Family Guy episode where they put a caution sign of Peter Griffith chasing a ball because of his retardation. The fact that people who probably got out of their way to build a sign that I assume is only for a few children at most means that we've either slipped into a nanny state or Chris Chandler is allowed to leave his shit shack to waste precious oxygen. Neither of which are good things to have, but I'm sure everyone knows that.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
