Why is it so difficult for many of us to make friends IRL?

Usually costs money to go out your door, unless you fancy loitering. If you don't have a job, there's no reason to go outside.
If you DO have a job, yeah sometimes the ppl you work with are squares.. but you can still seek out places where ppl your own age are (or have to be). Chatting someone up at work when things are slow, is a good idea.
