Why is it women don't like being called a cunt?

It's not even the worst thing to be called. It's not a cheap shot at all either.

Yeah it's lost its offensive in our countries. It's just another casual word to us. To the rest of the world it's a big deal though.

For me it's not even the word itself but the venom behind it. If someone is calling you that, its usually with a snarl, spit flying, eyesbrows set in anger. A ugly word for sure, made uglier by how it is used.

Probably a sexism thing. Response to the inequality women have dealt with in the US. Wish we lost all the shitty things in life that ruin peoples sense of humor. Anything should be acceptable to say if its not coming from prejudice.

It probably is the worst thing to be called. I know how comedians use the f-word constantly, but they rarely use the c-word. Then again, that might just be because it doesn't have as many uses.

Indeed, though some of it does come from the word itself, the letters in the word are brutish hard sounds put together in such a way that you can't really say it nicely. Pussy is a word which can be said nicely as it is a pleasant sound with a gentle y at the end with the puss sounding like a cat which is naturally a cute word due to cats being cute. Pussy is a word that is difficult to say in a bad way compared to cunt which is pretty much made to be said in a bad way.

I always like to refer to the vagina with the word pussy due to the way it sounds so nice and pleasant and gentle. It is a good word hands down. I would never use cunt in a cheerful way since I have used cunt before in annoyance and anger and I know first hand that the word cunt comes out when my words are being vile and ugly so that word won't get used by me for anything nice.

Calling someone a cunt is identical to calling them an asshole. Generally, the person knows they're being an asshole.
Calling someone a bitch is similar to calling them a crybaby. Bitching about stuff is the same as whining about stuff.

I'm actually in the process of studying this word and it's concept more deeply.

It makes no sense to me that the word "dick" is only really mildly offensive, but "cunt" in some people's minds is a word that can never be uttered. It seems very unequal that the phrase "Don't mind him, he's just a dick." sounds casual and normal, but the phrase "Don't mind her, she's just a cunt." sounds spiteful and heinous.

I almost feel like I have a duty to erase the stigma from cunts, because honestly I quite like cunts.
