Just to let everybody know, today's the 80th anniversary of the creation of the popular board game Monopoly!

So, who wants to play a game of Monopoly today? (I have a limited edition Star Wars one).

This is just a thought, but what if there was a Newgrounds-themed monopoly board! (Feel free to add to this)

1.) Boardwalk would be Newgrounds Headquarters

2.) Jail would be Ban Land

3.) The money would be experience tickets (the same experience used for gaining user levels) or B&P points (blam & protection points)

4.) The railroads would be the games, movies, audio, and art portals

5.) Go would remain the same, or alternatively the Home Page

6.) Go to Jail would be You've been Banned!

7.) The eight player pieces would be a Tankman, Pico, Alien Hominid, a Castle Crasher, Red Baron, P-Bot, StrawberryClock, and the NG Tank.

8.) Income Tax would be Deposit Points

9.) Free Parking would be User Profile

10.) Electric Company would be Friend Request

11.) Water Works would be Follow (Fan) User

12.) Super Tax would be Deposit Experience

13.) Community Chest would be BBS Bonus

14.) Chance would be Newgrounds News

15.) Monopoly Houses & Hotels would be the amount of fans that you have and your Blam & Protect rank/whistle status.

It is an okay old school board game.

I have a Harley Davidson one, Spongebob, one from the 60s (it's just the board though), and some random newer one.

I own a regular Monopoly game, a Detroit-based Monopoly game (Boardwalk is the General Motors Renaissance Center in that game), and the above-mentioned one is a Star Wars Original Trilogy Monopoly game (Boardwalk in that game is,not surprisingly, the Death Star).

Happy Birthday to a game that has probably started more fights over Boardwalk and Park Place in Monopoly than people actually fighting on the Boardwalk and Park Place itself. No, I'm not including the gelatinous creatures that were on MTV's Jersey Shore either, everyone knows that doesn't count.

I played that game once, never again.

It's a wonderful strategy. I love getting Mediterranean and Baltic then popping hotels on there and thus whenever someone passes GO and lands on one of them, I get their GO money plus interest.

Monopoly is actually pretty fun...until an hour has passed and you're fighting over whether or not you're gonna trade Mayfair or not.
