Years ago there was the big Sonic community, where everyone just recolored sprite arts of Sonic, and made their own characters. Even used them in fanfictions. It was crazy. I used to be one of them

But now it's affiliated with autism

So be honest, were you one of them? Did you recolor Sonic art and made it your own character?

I liked playing the games, but I never made a character for it...

I did play Frankenstein with GI Joes though. That was always fun.

The only thing I had from Sonic as a kid was his first T.V show, The Adventures of Sonic or something like that. I didn't even play any Sonic games growing up

There was this one time when I was a kid that I downloaded a coloring page of Sonic from the Jetix site and gave it a red skin with blue shoes.
His name was Zero the Hedgehog.

Never made a character out of the game sprites, but I did use to play the old sega games.

I had a SNES and not a Sega Genesis growing up, and I had it in my head that if you liked one you couldn't like the other or anything associated with it. I just generally avoided Sonic because of that.

I was more inspired by a weird mix of Godzilla and Warhammer art.

No, but I made a satirical fanfic over the years. I rebooted it at least twice. I've forgotten about it since college though.

That rant in the "Dislikes" section was hilarious. Myself, I've never recolored a character into an OC. Then again, I don't really make OCs for anything. I don't even like reading fanfics with OCs in them.

It's a decent piece, but the hand placement and the two poke balls kind of make me think the artist is doing a dong joke.

I remember the most commented picture on KnowYourMeme being a picture just asking people to type in their name in Google plus "The Hedgehog" and have their childhood ruined, or something ruined. Nowadays, you can do that more with ponies...or maybe pokemon.
