Audio Card/Interface for Samples 2015-02-02 19:31:25

I'm looking for a sound card or audio interface to reduce the latency when working with EWQL samples in FL Studio. Most devices I'm finding seem to have a lot of extra bulk with the input/output, etc.

Does anyone have recommendations for something just to improve performance? I don't need to record anything live.

Thanks!

This list is perfect. I do have a PCI-E slot. I'm actually using an older soundcard that wasn't really made for audio production, which is why I'm looking for a new one.

Thanks a bunch!

Try and look for an older M-Audio Delta-44 or Delta -66. I have a Delta 44 myself and I can get my latency as low as 6 ms, which is great especially for live-play with a MIDI keyboard interface.

Hm, seems like all the PCIe models are out of stock now (at least on Amazon). Is USB the new norm? I always thought it faster and lower latency to go PCIe.

"Old-School" PCI is still tons faster than USB2 in terms of bandwidth speed. ;)
