"Ralph Baer, inventor of the Magnavox Odyssey console and considered to be the father of video games, died late Saturday. He was 92.
The Odyssey prototype was first shown by Baer in a 1969 video. The device allowed two people to play pingpong – or what Nolan Buschnell would later transform into Pong—at one time."
Sucks. It takes a lot of creativity to think up the rudiments that this guy created. At one point, multiple people interacting on the same 2-D screen was unheard of. Now look at all the games and programs that rely on it.
