every one remembers the bionicle lego sets right sure you do its that one that had that awsome comic years ago and a movie. ill admit the movie wasent that good but this was legos first attempt at writing movies they have improved quite alot. anyway they are finally reviving it so im ecstatic they were some of the best legos ever especially out of the tecnics much better then hero factory (aka the bionicle wannabe) so yay. http://www.lego.com/bionicle/

As much as I love the fact that my childhood is coming back, the builds have nowhere near as much depth as they used to have. Looks like Hero Factory to be honest.

What I mean by my post above is that the parts are too character specific. It wouldn't look as cool if you combined pieces of multiple sets to create a character of your on.

true but they've been doing hero factory so long they gotta use up the old molds for a bit before they make new ones. the first hero factory things looked alot like bionicle. give em time they will get there groove back eventually

To be honest I've never really been into Lego that much, but I always though Bionicles looked pretty cool. I don't know, maybe I'll pick one up from the new set just as a display piece.

I remember i had two of them, never really played with them much but they were cool.

When I was a child, there was only one back-pack piece that allowed the attachment of flexible pieces to a character piece.

However, even though there was no bionicle at that time, I too made bionic suits for my legos.

Somehow I feel cheated.

lets not forget takanuva the toa of light whom also fused with makuta... then seperated later on good thing to that fusion dident really make that much sense and really just looked like a more evil makuta rather then a fusion

Fuck dude, I LOVED that movie. And I remember the toy for Takutanuva(thefusion), the toy said if you flipped the mask upside down or something it was supposed to look like the fusion of the two masks but it always just looked retarded to me. pic related.

While I'm sure it will make a great line for people who were really into Bionicle, I won't be purchasing any.

The original Bionicle line came at such a great time in LEGO history, taking what was learned by late 90s experiments such as Throw-Botz and the immense success of TECHNIC. I remember when Bionicle was a sub-line under the grander, and more established TECHNIC line. Very interesting project, which turned out for the best for LEGO.

I remember Bionicles so well. I used to read every comic book in the LEGO magazine. Voya-Nui was my favourtie series, the Pirahka were the coolest villains, and turning some villagers from Mata Nui into Toa was a grat choice. My Vezon and Fenrakk figures were my favourites. Had all the Metru Nui Toa as well.
