I'm not sure, maybe an hour or two. I'm always waking up and then going back to bed. My sleeping sessions can last up to 10 hours because of interrupted sleep. I don't take anything to help with sleep except sometimes some melatonin or chamomile with lavender, but when I move back to Oregon, I'll be able to fix that.

I've slept as long as 16 hours before, back when I did shift work, working 12 hour days, and then switching to 12 hour nights a day later. My first day off would usually be anywhere from 10-16 hours of sleep.
Now I'm lucky if I get more than 6-7 hours.

If I oversleep, I ache and I feel awful that I wasted potential in my day.
If I wake up naturally at just the right amount, I'm energetic actually.
Any more than 7.5 hours of sleep is too much.
13 hours once, i think.
It sucked. Sleeping for more than 7-8 hours just sucks balls.
Sometimes I feel like I fell asleep long ago and this is just a lucid dream that I've long since enveloped myself in. I'm afraid that if I wake up I'll find that I don't really exist and I'm really the figment of a different person or being's imagination. Would waking up mean that I'll just be the fading, half-remembered shadow of someone or something else.

I'd say anything upwards of 14 hours is way too much.
Then again I get at the most 4-5 hours of sleep every day. So roughly 28-35 hours a week. Which is nowhere near healthy.
more than 7 or 8 hours is too much, I wake up feeling groggy and tired ugh I hate it. I've woken up after just 4 hours of sleep and felt really energetic... it's weird.
It's never too much sleep for me. It's always only not enough. Most I've slept is 11-12 hours.

I think 10 or so hours, continuing to loaf around in my bed for 2, and then returning to sleep soon after for another 4 hours is my longest. It's comfortable yet non-refreshing. Overall, I don't think it's too good of a habit to develop. This kind of thing really only happens to me when I am either physically ill or depressed.
In my opinion, you're getting too much sleep the moment it starts to negatively affect other areas of your life (e.g. Productivity, responsibility, basic functioning.)
Neat topic, by the way, OP. :)

I try to get about eight hours of sleep a day. In my opinion after about 10 hours you start to get too much, but this is without factoring in things like fatigue, age, and other health factors.
The longest I have slept was maybe about 11-12 hours. From what I remember, I was tired and after I got up I stayed up for 2 days.
I sleep from 5-8 hours usually, anything after that just hurts me.

I think when you lose feeling in half your body youve had too much sleep
or maybe I was just having a stroke
either way it was not enjoyable
I read something about sleep cycles taking approximately 90min and you feel good when you wake up after n.90 cicles (plus time to reach sleep state)
its hard to get out of bed when the alarm clock wakes you during REM for example.
So of it takes 10-20min to fall asleep, and a cycle for an average adult is +-90min
so we feel good waking up 6:15, 7:45 or 9:15 after laying down, even 4:45, which isnt healthy but has that weird super-energetic side-effect if not in a row.
varies from person to person, i tested it and works most times, for me its 6:40 if im not tired, or 6:10 if i know i'll pass out as soon as i touch the pillow
Anything over 10 is very unhealthy. However, teenagers need a lot more sleep than adults.
6 hours of sleep is the natural way from what I've heard.
