Hey Newgrounds!

I wanted to start an art thread and share some pieces I work on. This site has been pretty supportive of my contributions so far, so I wanted to get a little more involved with the community.

My latest submission is this Succubus

and the image attached is my next WIP.

Also, I'm not totally sure what the ideal way of posting art pieces on this forum is, I'm just using the upload function right now. I'd really appreciate any suggestions to better ways to post work.

I look forward to getting to know people here.

Your works are really interesting, there's always some texture or stealthy mix of style in the background. I like the way you bring out the unique qualities of each layer rather than attempting to hide it. I don't really have anything to say, but it'd be interesting to see you approach a thick paint with color separate. You may be interested in Robaato's studies for body style etc.
I'll be looking out for more, good stuff!

You, just using the upload feature is best. I tried links and stuff, it never works as well as the built in function.

1 part of some figure drawing. I like to look at a lot of reference beforehand, but try and just draw without having open reference after that, just remembering parts and building poses from that.

Some hands and feet studies. I feel like there's a big disparity in the hands/feet I draw in comparison to the rest of the figure.

Anyway, loving your sketches man. You got this shit downpat. Keep posting the good stuff.

And if I remember right, if you just post the art URL sans all the ?context and beyond bullshit, it should come up all fine and dandy, and you even get a neat thumbnail out of it. Some sort of hotlinking NG web devs set up some time ago, it was pretty cool. Like this:

Yeah those last posts are all from reference. Well, the gesture was then I just tried to build the figure on top from memory. But a lot of the sketches I do are generally switching from 1 from reference to 1 from memory right after to try and build my stuff up.

I generally suffer from needing reference so much to get anything competent. I really love your gallery, thanks for commenting on here and the image. I tried to touch it up actually, the image on newgrounds should update in a bit. I'm just stuck and really frustrated.
