The only way I can think of is if they were raised badly. If that's the kind of stuff you do for entertainment/attention, I don't think you could have learned appropriate methods to obtain them.

I'm sure they sell hamsters as food. lizard needed to eat. but the snapping turtle shredding a mouse alive is a bit more brutal.

Agreed, the music was nice, as for the activity of the video itself, I think I as a fellow mammal I kind of feel for the hamster, but I'm also realistic and know that lizards have to eat.

You better be a strict vegetarian animal rights activist. Otherwise you're a huge hypocrite.
Any animal you eat has to die as well. Doesn't make it any less cruel just because you don't have to see it. Meat doesn't magically appear on your plate. But it is nature's way although farming and raising cattle isn't natural either.
I eat meat but I'm also not all up in arms about a video of a snake eating meat.
Fun Fact: Did you know if meat-eating animals don't eat meat, they'll die?

I wouldn't say it's cruel. It is part of nature. Lizards have to eat also. Would you say it would be cruel for a lion to eat a gazelle? Or how about Frogs eating flies? Would it be cruel for snakes to eat mice? You see where I'm going here? It's not really cruel. The hamster would have been eaten by something else other than that Lizard.
