So.. I preordered an Oculus Rift DK2 (Developers Kit 2), and it got here today.
Got it all set up and working, and boy oh boy, never in a million years would I have thought it would have made me so motion sick. I did expect some level of nauseousness, but I damn near threw up all over my keyboard when I was trying to figure out how to tweak the camera a bit in a game and instead ended up locking it in place, so when I next turned my head to look somewhere else, my view in game didn't move, instantly dry heaved and probably would have full on threw up if I didn't immediately take the thing off my head.
The motion sickness aside though, it's a really cool thing to experience. I imagine the motion sickness will get less intense as I use it more.
Anyone else had a chance to try one yet? Similar experience with motion sickness first time around?
