Hi all, Im new around here, Well kind of. Been using NG looking at cool games and art since i started using the internet since way back, but never thought of trying to post my own. Anyways after seeing the artist show-case on Drawing with Jazza, i decided to give it a go. Heres 1 of the pictures in my gallery, you can check out the rest if you want.

Ok please dont take this the wrong way, this is for me to try and learn from your example. it was bugging me that i messed up the anatomy so bad that i kept looking at your comparison and the original (uploaded version and paper version )and i did notice a few things. So i took it in to SAI and did some outlining of what was how sketched it (in red) and how, from what i could best tell what you said i should've done in green.
Also some of parts you drew in the anatomy over my original were the armor, which may or may not have affected how the anatomy is represented (1 example the rib cage).
Im not trying say your wrong and im right or ungrateful, obviously your the better artist and i agree with alot of what you said. Just trying to learn how to make my work better. Thank you for your time

My redlines are not necessarily answers to problems but mere suggestions. Ultimately, answers should be decided solely on you.
Upon further review, I should have suggested for you to use a larger tonal range of value. The idea of dark to push the things you want further into the back and the idea of light to keep things in the front. Right now everything seems to be fighting to be in front of each other.
For instance, the sword blade is brighter compared to her left hip plate. Due to the shine, the blade feels as if it were more in the front when it really should be behind her. A larger tonal range could help increase the sense of depth.

Great job for pencil! I find that my pencil art doesn't have the greatest definition and can be a little too... feathery? So my hat is off to you for inspiring me! Keep it up! :D

And i know what you mean, i lot of my earlier work, (when i was a junior high school) had the same problems.
Wish this1 would have transferred better to digital, had to use a camera to get it all in the picture. Gotta get me a bigger scanner
To be honest, I really dont know what this is lol. Did a bunch of scribbles and inked what i saw...... i usually dont use my pens so i thought id be fun :P
mostly just to test a method i saw on DA for scanning bigger pictures (this is 11x14 i think) on a smaller scanner, which was obvious and i cant believe i didnt think of it -.-'. It seems to work alright, way better than what i have been doing :P
anyway on to about the picture.....did a monster head sketch thing (drew out 10 or so because i was bored) and decided to put 2 of the original sketches on it to use here. Most likely wont go back and finish this 1, at least for now
