Beginning Archer's new design sheet. I think I'm liking this one the best.

Beginning to start on Holly...more struggling in design. Not sure where I'm gonna take this. Also, BEDTIME.

Finished Holly. For some reason I'm a little bittersweet about this one. I think I feel happy with the expressions, but not the design if that makes sense. Since 4 of my characters are FAMILY (Abram, Holly, Arlo, Enzo), genetics have to play in while trying to make each one come across as distinct. Playing with colors, ear shapes, eyes, and cheek lines are challenging. I still feel I can pull more style out of her sometime throughout the year. Gotta keep trying. :\

Working on my 9th concept sheet and I've saved Enzo for last...for good reason. He's a special little guy....and I have yet to show his big design change. Let's just say he's been through a lot. :(

Finally finished Enzo. He was my first character ever designed. Here's his form 1 year later. Poor guy lost part of his leg. :[

Designed two new characters for the first time last night. Here's Jules and Angus, original concepts thought up by my writer from a story in the graphic novel. These are my interpretations. Not sure if the name "Angus" will change. We'll see.

Got some inspiration the other night and slammed this out. I wanted to experiment with dialing back the years and showing Arlo and Enzo at a younger age. I'm thinking they're 6 and 12 here, also the same year their dad died. I call this "Better Days" as from this point on, things start going downhill. It's sort of tragic really (notice how Enzo still has his leg).

Working on a new character, but still feel the need to keep experimenting. This is a sleazy political figure in which I'm trying to cross a used car salesman look with a TV televangelist. He's someone that is untrustworthy, sort of an asshole, and always has a shit eating grin on his face. I think 1 and 4 are the strongest so far, but I still haven't locked a name down for him yet, including the body type and official shape language for his character.

Introducing President Winston Lockridge! As I continue deeper into character design, I had one final character to do in the cast that I had NEVER drawn. He was just a name on some paper in the story, but his role is very important. Hell, I didn't even have a name for him other than "president" or "king". This guy is the candidate you'd probably regret voting for. However, who says this is a democracy? President Lockridge has big plans for his citizens, with Titus as his strong arm. He might be all smiles and good on the podium, but this guy is a snake that will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

You have a clear voice and a nice flow! Pretty pleasant to listen to. I'm not a fan of commentaries/demos though, as they are entertainment more so than containing condensed information. But well, keep going with your art!

Thanks. Glad some people are getting something out of it. Below is basically the last 15 months in the making. This is a mash-up of everything I've worked for to this point since I started drawing last year. There's about 1K-2K hours in order to get to this point. 12 characters are designed and Volume 1 is currently being written all this year. I'd say this is my new plateau in my uh...."adventure in drawing" lol.

Hey thanks! Welp, I've begun a new finished piece....and uh.....it went pretty rough. I'm not sure what happened, but my drawing memory took a poopoo on me. This took way too long to draw tonight, and it's still sketchy as hell.

I think I might still need to do my traditional line art method, but am not sure yet. Still a long way to go...but the bg is nearly there. Lots of extras and effects will go in during the painting process.

I looked back on your works from first page. I must admit that you made big improvement in 1 year ;) You have developed them in quite interesting style. I like those cats also I'm a cat lover, so it's impossible to not like them xD Awesome!

I don't want to be a party pooper because it's looking cool, but design-wise I'm a bit skeptical to the mechanics of a leg gun with a wired trigger hanging loose.

How would running be like with that leg and the wire hanging around with a trigger attached to it? Perhaps it would make more sense to have the wire go under the clothes and perhaps come out at some point where it would be easier to reach and fire?

The shoe seems to be solid over the ankle (like snowboard shoes). On a more technical side that means he has to aim with his lower leg muscles, and can't run and walk as easily - but perhaps more importantly on an artistic level, it means that joint always has to be in that set angle. By allowing mobility in the ankle you open up for better flow through the legs which allows more striking dynamic poses!

Something to consider maybe
