Taking Care of Children

I just made three kids dinner (ages five, three and two) a mostly healthy meal consisting of fresh green beans, Mac & Cheese and some meat product hamdinger thing, ensured they ate what was on their plate or at least all of their veggies before making them wash their hands and face, got them ready for bed and then finally tucked them in.

Prior to that I of course watched them all day besides the eldest two who went to school for a short while (though I did have to freeze my ass off in the cold waiting for their school bus both times) and gave them plenty of attention in between doing a few necessary daily chores such as laundry, dishes and taking out the trash or whatever. I even managed to take care some of my own personal business throughout the day as well.

Now, do you guys find kids hard to deal with? Because I certainly don't. Granted, three at once is overwhelming every once in awhile but they're easy to manage once they understand some basic discipline and a little responsibility. Also, I only mention that because they're not my kids and they walk all over their actual father all the time and get spoiled to hell when with him. However I don't tolerate that shit so they usually act like little angels when I'm watching them.

NOW DISCUSS HOW YOU GUYS SUCK AT PARENTING COMPARED TO ME. Unless, you do have kids and are used to their crap. Been doing this for a few months now and it does get ridiculous at times.

Also, I made them brownies today because I am the bestest cousin-uncle thing.

I've been taking care of children since I.was 14. Im not a parent but I know the ropes. Especially with younger children.

Well, taking care of children is fine and dandy. Not too hard, unless you are a parent, but then it is a labor of love.

Ryan, you seem to be a well rounded individual, and from your description, very capable of handling some children.

The rest of you, however, seem to carry yourselves as irresponsible halfwits, and I shudder at the thought of you lot caring for children.

Apparently Ive never really taken care of kids because I never changed a daiper. That was at least one expert opinion. Id say I was pretty good. Watched three children at once through my late teens and never lost any.

If they listen to you it is easy, if they refuse to it is very hard. Especially since you are not allowed to punish them in any ways that they care about anymore.

I supervise a group of 9-11 year olds and at first they never listened to me, now they listen but don't always do what I say still. Of course I'm not actually allowed to force anything so i have to advise and hint them towards doing the right thing but they can still be a problem.

I am just simply not the type to give commands and make them do as I say, others are but I can't bring myself to such things.

I only struggle with little babies. My newest nephew, god one day he just would not stop crying and I just had the hardest time dealing with it. My mum being.. well a mum could handle him screaming into her ear hole as she rocked him back and forth but I felt my resolve leave me.

Bigger kids though are easy to look after and generally a joy to be around. Oliver tonight was just causing me to break out into the biggest smile ever, and all he was doing was talking about Power Rangers.

I love my little cousins! Even the really attractive one who's a year younger than me. That's right, I said it. But I couldn't deal with that shit everyday and I'm sure you could either. It's great in short bursts though.

My younger cousin sent me a card for Christmas which is pre cute and is on my beside table now.

Yeah a few other people have been the same to me. I don't particularly mind if I've eaten horse though, so that takes the wind out of their sails. I mean, I'd RATHER not, but if I did, oh well.
