Post count doesn't even matter.
i would disagree and agree, if someone posts with quality or humor and consistency within a short period of time amongst a lot of threads, they'll tend to get noticed. Icons and sigs also are a factor.
but on the contrast, if someone has a high post count but takes many hiatuses then users probably wont recognize them as often, in theory, to say the least. If they post a lot but of poor quality (generally just a shitty poster/negative, stubborn attitude towards everyone), then they'll probably divert attention away from themselves as a reasonable consequence.
