Basically, if you just accept the fact that Jesus died for our sins, you are saved; but repenting and living up to God's standards is solely up to each individual, and you life will reflect this
We can't even begin to fathom what heaven actually is, so therefore it is beyond our craziest ideas of what it really is.
1 Corinthians 2:7-9
But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written,âEUWhat no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love himâEU
No other religion offers up a sacrifice for our bad deeds like Jesus' offer
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.âEU
Other Bible verses to consider:
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt,
their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather
with me, scatters.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God
has made it plain to them.
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his
eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood
from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be calledgreatin the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Everybody who believes Jesus died for them makes it to heaven; a majority will most likely just not be on the V.i.P list
