I'm currently having a lovely conversation with Jolly after he sent me a seemingly spontaneous personal message which was really nice to read. I'm not sure if it's because of this thread, however it proves that it is, indeed, very pleasant to receive them and I intend on finding a few people to send brief messages to in the spirit of this thread because of it.

I just wanted to say a few things about this thread. So far I've sent two users nice PMs. I put thought into them because everyone matters. Everyone deserves something nice said about them. I'm not trying to get all emo in this post, but I want to tell you briefly about my couple of days past.
These past three days have been really rough for me. I did something terrible that I really regret and could have an effect on someone really close to me. I've been sulking for the past three days, haven't left to go anywhere, and have overall been generally upset. It sucks when you feel this way because it's something you can't share with friends in real life. People will think I'm a dirtbag when I'm not. People will think I'm an asshole for a mistake.
I don't care what anyone says when they say "it's only the internet." The fact that users have been kind enough to send PMs my way have made me feel really good. It's made a difference to me, so thank you. Keep sending them out because I'm sure to someone, you're making a difference.
