Question about facebook timeline. 2011-10-04 21:49:19

If I use IE's private browsing, will FB still track the sites you use? Also, has FB activated the timeline thing yet?

I use IPB for all my porn needs, so I hope it doesn't track them.

Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

I don't think Facebook has enabled the timeline feature yet. And its sucks that you still use IE, if you had firefox you could get the diconnect add-on which will disable any tracking cookies from social websites.

Can't you just simply slide the Blocking tab for 3rd parties in Internet Options ?

Yes, that's nice and all, but will IE's Private Browsing block this?

Almost definitely not.

1. Internet Explorer is a proven inferior browser in many aspects.
2. The same information is being sent to Facebook. Just because IE doesn't store it, there's no reason to think that Facebook won't.

Then how the hell do I stop FB from storing this information?

You must assume that all information given to Facebook is information kept by Facebook. Permanently.

Other than that, if you want to be as privacy concerned as possible, refer to STEM's post. Switch to a browser that supports addons and extensions (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and download the extensions via those links.

Why would you even use Facebook? It's becoming Myspace.

You mean the same way Myspace became Facebook?
