Arresting people for this is leading to prison over crowding and people getting introduced to much worse drugs such as crack cocaine and heroin while inside. Weed does nothing besides get you high for a small while and technically it's not addictive, it's the same effect as beer.There have been little to no automobile accidents related to it. I would rather have a stoner dad who just wants to sit on his ass than an angry drunk dad who just wants to beat his wife. Also weed makes everything EVERYTHING better.

Now explain why weed is so awful enough for 12 years in prison.

i guess the judge had her panties in a knot, and also, since she retired soon afterwards, am thinking maybe she was asked to retire or she just wanted to be remembered this way.

And the cost to OK taxpayers for a $30 drug bust, about $14,000 a year. Because it wouldn't' make sense to have DHS take here kids away for good and put her on probation after four years for a first time offense.

That's pretty steep, even if she had drugs around kids. I would think that three or four years would be sufficient, even too much, but twelve? Goddamn.

It depends on what you define as "against." I don't smoke it, never plan on it, and don't think it's a very smart decision. I have that exact same stance against tobacco.

Should it be illegal? No. But very heavily regulated, just like tobacco. But the problem is, that there would still be a lot of it sold on the streets. Tax free, and much of it is laced with other illegal substances.

The solution to this? I feel you should not be able to sell it, but only grow it on your own property. Plants should be bought from the government. Selling of marijuana, except the plants by the government, should stay illegal.

second off, provide evidence of your statement of how much of it is laced... is there any statistic that shows how much of marijuana is laced in percentage to overall, i mean you never smoked weed so how would you know?

I never said most or all, I said much. I know from people that do or did smoke weed that much of it is laced. Much is a vague and subjective term.

yeah, well its actually pretty rare that its actually laced and im pretty sure there will be 20 members bombarding you with that fact... not saying it never happens, but usually if its laced you were probably bumming a hit off a friend or something...

Here kids? Whatever. So much red tape. I hate that it costs more money to kill someone than it does to detain them for life. As for the woman, a crime is a crime I guess but there are drug dealers that have a long track record and are out on the streets after a year in prison. If only we could abolish all lawyers like in Back to the Future II.

Put her in the slammer for a small offense, when she gets out in 12 years shes gonna have to go back to selling drugs because she wont be able to get a good paying job anywhere else. Prison system makes more criminals.
