This is just inhumane. Please, just put her out of her misery. Just because you have the ability to keep things alive doesn't mean you should. Good God, does anyone actually think she's happy like that?
Plus, nobody is going to wanna tap that, not to mention all the ridicule she must get. Seriously, there ARE times when people are better off dead.
Well I've read a lot of the things on that site. The girl doesn't seem to be suffering, in fact she seems a bit happy, she has an immense amount of support from family and school friends, she isn't in pain (possibly only when in surgery), and even with the surgery she is very confident, willing and strong enough to go through them. I find her to be a very mature girl for her age. There's a lot of effort going on to try and help her both in looks and in health problems, perhaps she could be the catalyst for the cure of her disease, or at least it can bring scientists a step closer.
Most people who say this do not know the love of a parent (especially a mother). Mother loves unconditionally, the mother is probably suffering even more than the daughter, but she simply cannot let go of her own daughter, her own flesh and blood. IF you cannot give Empathy then at LEAST give sympathy. If you were in that position it would be one hell of a hard choice, you may be strong enough to choose what you THINK it's best despite what your heart says, but a lot of other people would fight anything and anyone for their child to live no matter what condition.
