Help please: swf doesn't play

I've got the Newgrounds version of TGF2, messed with the tutorial, built a .swf file - but when I play the .swf in Firefox I just get an ad with a PLAY button which just leaves the screen white when I click it.

Am I right in thinking this is 'cos this version requires the .swf to reside at Newgrounds, so it won't play from anywhere else (including off the local machine) ?

That's what I think it is. I built a .swf and got a white screen as you said, but newgrounds is able to make it work as intended.

Yes you need to upload it to Newgrounds for it to work.

To play it on your local machine just play it from the TGF2 editor -- when done export it to SWF and upload it to Newgrounds.
