One after another, are we Tom?
Madness music goes UNT UNT UNT UNTz and then there's some sawtooth synths going WRRR WRRR. Sometimes there might be a fastpaced piano going BIGGIDIGIIPLINGPLONG.
I should make a tune like that.

The important thing is how the sound can be expressed in words. Like UNTBWRRRWRWRPONGPONG

Also, I dont think you can really obtain the true madness feel with tempos in excess of 70BPM... you gotta hit somewhere in the 200BPM range.
Though, you can take elements of it (LFO-drowned basslines) and incorporate it somewhere into the song...
brb ideas

My thoughts exactly. What's the end submission date going to be btw?
I'd be down to do a radio results show for this again as well.
This could be fun. I'll see what I can do about madness.
I'd thought it'd be imperative that everyone hoping to make a song for the competition should listen up on Cheshyre. The man behind the madness, if you will. If anything, it'll let you all get a vibe of what you need to o for.
I feel a little left out, i have no idea how to make a good dubstep song, lol all my attempts end up just being dirty dnb apperenly lol

I updated the main post with deadline info.

Whatever you do, DON'T be like Excision or DatsiK... those clowns have ruined dubstep.

Lol okays. I doubt i will make a dubstep song, even though it is probably what everyone will use, and it's for that reason i'm rather worried about a lack (or rather greater lack) of variety in the madness flashes. Cause quite frankly, the majority of the madness flashes are just a copy and paste of the original, and that gets a little annoying, especially if there is the same song, or style of song in every flash. But my need for a lack of conformity will probably end up keeping me from getting anywhere in the music business, but i'd rather like to keep a little bit of my soul, free will and creativity while i can. Lol
I will probably end up just adding elements of dubstep here and there since it might be what everyone is wanting. Maybe i can actually dig myself out of complete obscurity if the song is good enough =3
Well damn I fancy that money... Alas I am a complete n00b, but I shall try my hand at writing and recording some Madness Music... So what, Dubstep? I know nothing about genres but i'll see what i can do
Come on in, be a guy, pull up a chair!

As long as MindChamber doesn't have a hand in the judging process, I still have a chance... so wub away, Alex!
Even though i will have to be honest, im a DieHard fan on Drum N Bass. But Dubstep doesnt really get my juices flowing. However i will consider making some dubstep just for the heck of it. I never made one before but, thats nothing youtube tutorials videos cant fix ;)

LIEZ
They make excellent tracks >=(
Shit's hard and dirtay! Hell, I just saw Excision play Saturday night in fact.
But yeah... people tend to think drum n bass a lot for Madness, but I could easily see badass fight scenes to dubstep.
Does it have to be a certain style? I have an idea for a song, but not sure if it made a difference.

I don't know, But what I do know is is that I might have a chance of someone using my demented shit <3
Yeah I was just curious when I mentioned dubstep - I don't want to see everyone only do dubstep... Drum 'n Bass traditionally works for me the best with Madness. I actually made Madness Regent listening to Woppa by Bassbin Twins on repeat, but that wasn't from the audio portal so it got swapped out... If you play Woppa and play Madness Regent though I think you'll see how it impacted the flow of the game up to the final clown area... It's not a super fast song, just has this vibe to it that worked for me.
I'm assuming we can submit more than one piece?
