I need an art application for Mac OS X. I`ve tried several programs already.

Photoshop works on macs, and gimp is a good one too, and it's free.
(I'm going to ignore the art forum's anal-retentivness about thread rules here, someone throwing a rule book at a reasonable request isn't going to help anyone.)

As for what I know:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash and Corel Painter all work for Mac, but are not cheap programs.
I also understand that GIMP works on Mac OS and is a freeware program.
