SCRIPT
I am dead. No longer among the living, you wonder where people go when they die. I ended up in the River Styx, the river of hate and the dead. No one I knew believed in this, no one gave me a gold coin when I died.
(Tutorial level)
Anybody who doesn't pay can't cross the river. I never was too bright in my living days; I thought to myself "Why can't I cross the river swimming?" I jumped right in, all the souls rushed for a new host. They filled my body with their souls. I couldn't live, now I can't die.
(First level)
The monster with its dying moments; launched me into the volcano that was next to us. The magma burned through everything, the souls were fusing with the magma around me. The change in the magma caused the volcano to erupt, with magma and rock making my body. I needed to continue my journey, to what? A proper death, which I spent my life evading and trying to stop.
(Second level)
The death of this monster brought thunder and lightning, the gods were trying to get me. I know what would happen; they would make my soul join the souls of the River Styx. I need to join the afterlife; I need to be with the proper dead. The thunder and lightning became fierce; the lightning struck me with a continuous charge of electricity. The lightning pushed out the magma and replaced it. My body became an electric playground. I could feel the souls of the River Styx leave my body, returning back their home. I continue on, hopefully getting a chance at what I want.
(Third level)
The death of this monster brought the shaking of the earth, the quakes were earth shattering. A mud slide smothered my body. This time the mud was pushing out the electricity, I am Earth now. I feel more of the souls leave my body. I'm still here, which is good. The quakes have stopped, I look back. The path destruction is only mine. This could all be over, but I still must continue on.
(Fourth level)
The monsters strength increase as time goes on, it starts raining, the rain flooding the crater. The temperature drops significantly and freezes the water instantly. The rain washed the Earth out of me, and the temperatures froze it within me. I feel I'm getting close to the end, but it won't be over until I get to the underworld. I know this, I must change my path. The souls from Styx are about 50% left in my body. They can't take it. I can't take it, this ends now.
(Fifth level)
This place is barren with no life, no monster that is in my way. I can see the souls from the Styx coming back to me, the ones that were fire, lightning, ground and ice.
It feels empowering, one hand is lightning and fire, the other is ground and ice. The Earth shakes, I feel something sinister, and the earth splits in half right in front of me. The god of death, Hades has appeared in front of me.
"You're quite the elusive soul, aren't you?" laughed Hades, "That ends right here."
"All I want is underworld." I pleaded.
"I'm afraid your place is in the River Styx along with all those souls." Hades told me.
"I can't die, I'm immortal." I boasted, "How are you going to make go back there?"
"By taking your soul." Hades said with finality.
(Final boss)
The battle had ended, I had won. Hades laid in defeat on the ground.
"All I want is underworld."
"You will never have underworld, your only purpose now is wander aimlessly."
As soon as it was said every soul had left, my one single soul.
"If it was that easy why didn't you do that before?" I asked.
"You were too strong to shut down your body, I could have taken the souls but they would have gone straight back to you. Game over." Hades boasted.
My soul departed my body; I wander the Earth alone, no contact. My fate is sealed. I wander with no purpose and no way back to a host, unable to go to Styx and unable to go to underworld.
