I want you people to say something about this particular piece. I want you to point out the thjings I have to improve please.
One thing that stands out to me is the line work. Very messy/scribbly-looking. Try cleaning it up a bit, and making it a little more solid. Might wanna polish up the coloring, as well. Other than that, they aren't bad. =)
On the other hand, you could try to go for a more loose style, keeping the line art scribbly and doing more raw looking coloring, but the smooth coloring and loose linework don't really compliment each other, imo.
Keep at it though, I do like your art, you seem to (judging only from the first picture) have a pretty good handle on contemporary japanese anime style. =]

Okay does this look better? I think I fixed the lines. And I also improved the shading.
The head is too small, the chin isn't pointy enough, the eyes aren't big and shiny enough, and I can still tell what gender it is.

It isn't necessarily true anime, but it's close and he's putting effort into those works. He also could just be doing it for fun...
At any rate, maybe you shouldn't presume he's making something else than what he's really making. And if he's not necessarily new or not skilled like others, than it's fine to be sloppy. You learn from it.
Jeez, it's not like this is a professional showcase or anything.
